OMG, I'm moving to Vancouver!

My friend Doris just sent along this amazing list of places to eat in Vancouver. Makes me want to move there tomorrow:

"Yah, Chinese restaurants are pretty amazing here...a different style than what you would find in China...so sorry, no Xinjiang! There are a few hot pot all-you-can-eat places but nothing spectacular. We hafta take you to eat Alaska King Crab.....it's to die! Steamed crab legs with garlic and egg whites as a first course, meaty elbows fried with peppery salt as a second course and a curry crab fried rice served in the crab head as a third course...mmm....peking duck is also a highlight. The dim sum here is also very good quality and relatively inexpensive. OH, Shanghainese dim sum (like the steamed juicy pork buns etc) are abundant and delicious!

The Vietnamese pho is also probably better here than in Nam..all run by Vietnamese families...

There is also a great Cambodian restaurant here... I think it was reviewed by the NYT...

Freshly shucked raw oysters are awesome and a few places do cheap happy hours...

There's also a fabulous Belgian restaurant that does inventive cocktails and the most amazing mussels I've ever had...

Great Japanese restaurants are a dime-a-dozen and we are told, are better than the Nobu's of the world

I won't give it all away...but we'll start a list of must-visit places!!!"

SEC Replay Official Overturns 'Roe v. Wade'

SEC Replay Official Overturns 'Roe v. Wade'

SEC

November 3, 2009 | Issue 45•44

TUSCALOOSA, AL—A Southeastern Conference replay official conducting a video review of a sideline catch during the Alabama-Tennessee game Saturday overturned Roe v. Wade, the 1973 U.S. Supreme Court ruling granting women the right to abortions. "Well, I certainly don't know what the refs were looking at down on the field to make that call," CBS analyst Gary Danielson said moments after the controversial ruling came in. "A woman's right to choose her reproductive future is clearly covered by the constitutional right to privacy, and that guy certainly didn't have control of the ball when he went out of bounds." Confirming the conference stood by the decision, an SEC spokesperson also said that officials would be disciplined for last week's Florida–Mississippi State game, in which a "grave error" was made when a replay call upheld both a Florida touchdown in which the ballcarrier had clearly fumbled before crossing the goal line and Brown v. Board of Education.

Crazy bastard

Adam And Rep Richard Martin by Adam Carolla

I was listening to the Adam Carolla podcast earlier today when he had Congressman Richard Martin (R-Ohio) on. This dude was FUCKING crazy!! He makes Michelle Bachmann sound rational and intelligent! In the course of the 50-minute interview, the dude berated black people for not holding up their end of the "contract" during slavery time, implied it would be better for his daughter to have an eating disorder than to be overweight, equated being spiritual to being Christianity (calling all other religions false religions), and proposed legislation to ban nudity in diaper commercials, make leather jacket purchases tax exempt, and have a special Hall of Fame for well-spoken black athletes! The whole time I wondered if I was being punk'd. But this dude actually exists!

Click below for the podcast. I laughed out loud more than a few times because the shit he was saying was so fucking ridiculous. Unbelievable!!
